Samantha - Alina Raulinaitis Sam's a sweet, playful young girl of 13. She is the central focus of the film and portrays a full range of emotions, from a silly show-off to an introverted recluse with suicidal tendencies... oh and she has to kiss a boy! |

Kevin - Adam Niec Kevin is Sam's friend, who's been watching both Sam and her father go downhill for a while. Like many young people he's trying to be cool by smoking, but never really gets a puff of smoke out because Sam stops him. Kevin is 13, and oh, he had to kiss Samantha. |

Brad - Tyler Hadbavny Sam's older brother is between 15 and 17, and has just sort of shut everything out. He spends much of his time with his friends and avoids the eventuality of his father's death. His anger about what's happening is one of the things that pushes Sam over the edge. |

Judy - Dawn Lafferty The wife and mother is often the only one holding everything together and Judy is always visibly drained from the effort. She believes in hope, but sometimes crumbles under the strain. |

Ted - David Kozinski Diagnosed with cancer a year earlier, Ted's condition has gradually taken his health and his looks. He is a handsome man in his late 30's but the disease has taken it's toll and by the end of the film it takes his life. |
